Gahagan delivers over a decade of sports marketing, business development, and ticketing expertise to the Company. Prior to joining Ticketmaster, Gahagan served as Sr. Vice President, Business Development and Strategy for Live Nation E-commerce, where he was responsible for the identification, development, and management of all strategic 3rd party partnerships – driving customer acquisition for one of the world’s top music/entertainment destinations (LiveNation.com), building fan loyalty for the Company’s artists, and helping to expand Live Nation’s ticketing technology organization. Before his time at Live Nation, Gahagan helped to establish and grow Vertical Alliance, serving as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In that role, he managed all business development, marketing, and strategic ventures, and significantly increased the Company’s exposure in the Sports & Live Entertainment marketplace. Gahagan was also instrumental in orchestrating the merger between Vertical Alliance and Flash Seats, which ultimately formed Vertix. Prior to joining Vertical Alliance, Gahagan served as Vice President of Tickets.com’s Sales & Marketing organization, where he led a team responsible for all new business and client retention efforts for the Company. While at Tickets.com, Gahagan became the Company’s first Vice President of the combined outsourced services, and licensed product groups. Before joining Tickets.com, Gahagan helped to establish the U.S. presence of a London-based sports marketing firm, and began his career in Sports & Entertainment at the Sales and Promotions office of the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.

Michael is a hands on product, technology and business leader with a 20-year background building products and teams in music, social, video, news and communications services. Michael is passionate about building and leading teams through new beginnings and new inflections. Michael led product teams at Facebook on Music, Notify, Instant Articles, News, and Public Figures. The Music Story product established Facebook as a place people can discover, share and talk about music. Notify is a stand alone app that provides people notifications that matter from the sources they love. Instant Articles is a fast-loading, dynamic format for people to consume news in Facebook, and a new way for publishers to distribute and monetize their content. Before joining Facebook, Michael led product and technology for music video company Vevo. There he built and operated Vevo across web, mobile and OTT, expanded into 14 countries, and established Vevo as the leading music video service. Past experience also includes product and technology at Myspace, working on groups, forums, messaging, artist profiles and events. Prior, Michael was the founding CEO of real-time messaging service Threadbox, mobile messaging service Jangl, and voice over IP device company Ooma. And prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Michael held sales and business development roles at networking companies Trapeze Networks, Redback Networks, Lucent Technologies, Livingston, and Netopia. Michael is also the musical director and bassist for Latin Jazz band Yellow House Orchestra, and a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences
